Congratulations Mrs. Daley!
Congratulations to our High School Journalism teacher, Jeni
Daley, for achieving the Certified Journalism Educator (CJE) status from the
Journalism Education Association (JEA). Mrs. Daley will be honored this
weekend, November 3, 2018, at the JEA, NSPA Fall National High School
Journalism Convention in Chicago, Illinois.
Mrs. Daley studied for months preparing for the exam for the
certification and is honored that she was able to achieve the CJE. The CJE
requires that you have experience in the field of journalism and ensures that
you are able to apply teaching techniques with students effectively.
Mrs. Daley will be taking about 12 students to the
Journalism Convention in Chicago. Students will be able to attend multiple
sessions to learn more about the journalism world. Mrs. Daley will also be
presenting one of the sessions offered at the conference.
Mrs. Daley is joining a growing 855 teachers nationwide, who
realize journalism is an academic subject requiring a qualified instructor.
Educators who gain this certification status shows evidence of continuing
education and professional growth, knowledge of teaching and advising methods
in scholastic journalism and leadership.
We are proud of Mrs. Daley and her dedication to her field
and educating our students. Thank you for all your hard work, Mrs. Daley!
