Ann Wilhelm Awarded Women of Excellence - Education Category
The YWCA hosted their 30th Annual Leadership Luncheon on June 19th, 2018. Thirty-four women were honored at the luncheon and amongst the honorees was Ann Wilhelm, a special education teacher at Shawnee Heights High School.
A woman of excellence is one that goes above and beyond, not only for their job but also for their community. This is exactly what Wilhelm does, she is a go-getter! Once she conceives an idea, she makes it happen. She has combined her business and special education degrees in such a way that if she cannot find opportunities in the community she creates them for her students. She is a great advocate for students with special needs and spends her time making sure that they have every opportunity available to them.
Congratulations to Wilhelm for winning the education category at the YWCA leadership luncheon! Your Shawnee Heights family appreciates your hard work and dedication to making a difference for your students.
